CIaO (Check In and Out at Work) is a system for recording the start and end times of work and rest breaks for people carrying out maintenance or cleaning activities. Its purpose is to provide greater transparency regarding presence at the workplace. It specifically applies to workers who clean immovable property on behalf of a third party, from 1 September 2024. It is mandatory for every worker carrying out certain cleaning activities in Belgium.
